Clava

Run Clava in a UK cloud or inside your firm.

Deploy on Civo, on a server we install in your office, or on your own servers. On Civo, client documents are processed in the UK. On premises, they stay inside your building or network.

Civo private cloud

Hosted for you,
in the UK.

We set up and run Clava and the model router on Civo, a UK cloud provider, in an environment dedicated to your firm. We handle updates and monitoring, and your IT team has no hardware to buy or maintain. Every model the router calls is hosted in the UK.

Hosting location, access and retention are agreed before go-live.

A server we supply

Dedicated AI hardware
in your office.

We supply and install an NVIDIA DGX Spark in your office, then set up Clava and one of our specialist legal models on it and connect it to your systems. Every task runs on that machine, and client documents are processed inside your building.

Suited to firms whose clients won’t accept cloud processing.

Your own servers

Use the servers
you already run.

If your firm runs its own server room or data centre, we check whether your hardware can run the model for the number of users you expect. We then install Clava and one of our specialist legal models on your hardware, inside your network.

Your IT team controls access, networking and client files.

Three ways to deploy.

Single sign-on, a searchable audit log and installation by our team, on every option.

Choose which models
do the work.

By default, Clava runs on our model router, which splits a task between several models and has one challenge the others’ findings before you see them. If your clients need the work kept on your premises, Clava runs one of our specialist legal models there instead.

Default Waiting for a task

Model router

The router splits a task into parts and gives each part to a different model. On a contract review, our specialist legal models find and assess the clauses, then a frontier model argues the other side on each one before the report reaches you. Clava and the router run on Civo, a UK cloud provider, and every model the router calls is hosted in the UK.

On your premises*

One of our specialist legal models, running on your own servers or on a server we supply for your office. Clava processes client documents inside your network and never sends them to an outside model.

* On your premises, Clava runs a single specialist legal model rather than the router.

Answers for your clients’ AI questionnaires.

Where client data is processed, who can access it and how long it’s kept, for each deployment.

AI use questionnaireLomond Capital panel review, section 4
  1. 4.1Where are our documents processed?

On Civo, in the UK. On premises, inside the firm’s office or network.

  2. 4.2Are our documents sent to an outside AI provider?

On premises, never. On Civo, the router also calls frontier models, hosted in the UK.

  3. 4.3Is our work used on other matters?

No. Nothing from one matter is used on another.

  4. 4.4Who can access Clava?

Users the firm authorises, through its single sign-on. Access is agreed with the firm’s IT team before go-live.

  5. 4.5Is AI use logged?

Yes, in an audit log the firm’s IT team can search.

  6. 4.6How long is data kept?

As agreed with the firm’s IT team before go-live.

Live in three steps.

  1. Scope

Share your clients’ requirements: panel terms, outside counsel guidelines and past security questionnaires.

  2. Set up

Agree where Clava runs, who has access and how long data is kept. We install it, checking your hardware first if it’s your own.

  3. Connect

We connect SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Google Drive, Gmail, Teams or Slack.

Send us your last security questionnaire.

We’ll show you how each deployment answers it.
